Closet Mayhem

I finally went through and organized my dresser drawers. It was a hassle but I’m glad I did it. I love how much easier it is finding clothes to wear in the morning. There just one problem, I want to put my pants and shoes in my closet but have no room. I have a small closet with no doors to it. Plus, I have a tote full of winter clothes in my closet. It takes up all the floor room. I’ve tried putting my shoes on top of the tote but they just get in the way of my shirts.

I am thinking about getting a double hang. It would provide space for my pants in the closet but I’m afraid it would hang too low. This wouldn’t be a problem if I had somewhere else to put my tote. I’ve tried under my bed but it’s too tall. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with it. If any one has any suggestions please leave a comment. It would be very helpful. Thanks

If you have at least 6 or 6 1/2 inches of height under your bed, you could move those clothes out of your tote and put your things into underbed containers. 2 or 3 will usually fit under a twin sized bed. If you REALLY have a lot of stuff, and since it will be stored away until next winter, try a Space Bag Under Bed Tote. You can fill it with a ton of stuff and shrink it down to about 6 inches tall. Then slide it under your bed and forget about it until the weather changes!  You do need to be sure you have at least 6″ of space height under your bed, though.  If you don’t, you could get several large space bags and use those under your bed.
