How Do You Store Your Boots?

Boot Storage Solutions from the Housewares ShowBoots are very popular, you see great knee boots popping up in every catalog and they’re on the runways and fashion magazines constantly worn with leggings, worn with skirts, paired with a great pair of jeans.  The question is – when you invest in a great pair of boots (or 6) how do you store them?  You don’t necessarily want expensive boots sitting on the floor of your closet where they could get crushed or creased, but standard shoe trees and over the door shoe storage don’t accommodate boots.  So we were on a quest to find great boot storage solutions while we were at the International Housewares show this month and the manufacturers are right on track.

Here are some of the best solutions we found while we were at the show – we’re curious what you think.  Leave us a comment and let us know what boot storage options you would use at home.

#1 Floor Boot Rack

This boot rack fits under your hanging clothes and will hold  6 pairs of boots, keeping them neat and tidy.

#2 Shoe Tree with Boot Hangers

This option turns a traditional shoe tree into a boot storage unit so that you can hang your boots from the top cuff.

#3 Combo Boot/Shoe/Accessory Storage

This option offers you 4 compartments for boots plus another 8 compartments for shoes and other accessories.

#4 Boot Shaper Rack

3 Pair Boot Rack

This space saving boot rack will hold three pairs of boots and the shaped boot holders will hold a variety of boots – ankle boots to knee boots.

I like all 4 boot storage solutions! It would depend on where I wanted to store my boots and the price as to which one or more I would choose. I have (only) two pair of boots and store them on a shelf under a counter in my “mud room”: worked for me for many years!

I think #1 looks like the best for my purposes – that is, men’s boots currently clogging up our hallway and bedroom floor. However I would need several of them as my husband has many of these pairs of boots!!

  3. Roger says:

option 3 or 4 would suit my needs best

  10. Nancy says:

#1 or 2 would be the best options for me.When I’m not wearing my boots I want to store them so that gravity will help eliminate or prevent compression and folding around the ankles.

I like numbers one and four also.
