Santa has come and gone, and now it is time to figure out where you will put all the new things that your children received. Most of us are willing to declutter toys, but worry that we may give away things that our kids are still enjoying. That can be a real challenge, so here is one quick hint I would like to share that may make it easier.
For those toys that you suspect your kids are too old for or which have just outlived their usefulness, bundle them up and store them somewhere in the house that is out of sight. If by some chance the kids notice that they are gone and inquire about them, you can always return them to their original homes. If however, 3 or 4 weeks elapse, and no one notices their absence, you can donate them with much more comfort that these toys are truly ready for a new home.
And by the way, have you seen the fabulous new Lego organizers at Space Savers? Gotta check ‘em out! They come in fun colors, have great carry handles and can be easily labeled for the various sets your children have in their collection. http://www.spacesavers.com/iris-lego-6-case-box.html
